Merry Christmas to everyone!

Christmas Presents - almost there!

I think I have most of the presents except for a few money gifts. That feels great! I wrote the cards out yesterday and today. They go in the mail tomorrow. We are not putting up a Christmas tree because the puppy would destroy it. She is curious about everything. Most of the time she has to taste new things in order to figure them out. I do have a wreath on the door.

First snowfall of the season

We had the 1st snowfall of the season today. It was so pretty. The snow stuck to the ground and the trees but not the road. So it was easy to get around. My St. Bernard puppy just loved being in the snow. It was her 1st snowfall ever.

Great Thanksgiving!

We had a great Thanksgiving! Food was good and the company was even better. There were 20 people (adults & children) at my house on Thanksgiving. We had turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, cranberry relish, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, corn, biscuits and a ton of desserts. We even sang Happy Birthday to Denny. His birthday is December 6th. we were a little early.

Started Christmas shopping already

I have started Christmas shopping already. I just want to get it done. I also want to make something for everyone but not sure what I will be making yet. So far my shopping has been on-line. It is so easy as long as you have seen what you are buying :-). You can go on many sites and put in the age and they will give you suggestions. Pretty neat!

Well we were suppose to go camping in October

We were suppose to go camping in October (weekend of the 16th) but it just rained too hard. I was disappointed. Usually October is a beautiful time to camp. The leaves are just beautiful, the night are cool, and the days are warm - but not this year.

I went to Pippenfest last Sunday

I went to Pippenfest in Fairfield, PA last Sunday. They had crafts for sale. They also lots of food. They were selling apples, apple dumplings, apple pies, and apple fritters. Even though the weather was a little iffy, it was nice.

We had the Pig Roast last weekend

We had the 2nd annual pig roast last weekend. The weather was great, the people were fun, and the food was delicious! We had a great big bonfire. We also had a 12 foot screen that we watched movies outside. I think everyone had a great time!

Labor Day Weekend

We went to the Western Maryland Streetrod Show in Cumberland, MD. It is a great show! They feed you on Saturday & Sunday. We camp there with friends. They have a band on Friday, Saturday, & Sunday nights. They have jousting with the cars and my husband entered but did not win. They have poker runs on Friday and Saturday. They have a Women's World which includes homemade crafts, jewelry, home decor. It is just a great weekend and a great show! They also have games for the children. All the money is donated to the Crippled Children's Fund. We had a great time!

Watching the NASCAR Race at Richmond

JR seems to be doing better the last couple of races. That is good. Maybe JR and his crew chief are jelling.

Wow this has been a long week! It seemed like it went on and on.

Everyone I talk to is going to the beach this weekend - Ocean City, MD, Dewey Beach, DE, Lewes, DE . Must be the weather.

Well, Nascar will be in Michigan this week. Maybe JR will get in the top 10. Hope so.

Back to work

I came back to work on Monday after having off last week because my husband had back surgery. It's funny how you try to catch up and you just can't.

Went camping this past weekend in Delaware

We went camping this past weekend at Steamboat Landing in Lewes, Delaware. Had a great time. The people are so friendly. They had a country band on Saturday night and it sounded like the original singers. Had a great time!

Looking forward to the Chicago Race on Saturday

I like to see Junior win the races but if he is not in the running, I like to see Bush get squeezed out. Ha! Ha!

Did you see the Nascar race last Saturday?

Wow! The ending was great! When Kyle Bush was tryin to block Stewart and he didn't calculate the distance between his car and Stewart's car, it was exciting to see him go out of control and loose. I am glad he was not hurt (aren't those care safe?) especially with the hits he received after hitting the wall. But boy did he look mad!

The Family Reunion was great!

The weather was great...the company was fun...,the warm hugs and "How have you been" were so nice...Cascade Lake was fun for everyone...the food tasted so good...it was great day!

Our Family Reunion

We are having our family reunion on 6/28. It will be held at Cascade Lake in Hampstead, MD. So far we have 60 people coming. It should be a lot of fun. This is the 2nd reunion in 10 years. Cascade Lake is a man made lake. They can swim, fish, . It has a water slide and paddle boats. Hope it is a nice day for everyone.

Rain, Rain, Go Away!

Woke up this morning and it was raining and raining and pouring. It was really coming down in buckets. I had to go to Maryland to my brother & sister-in-law and they had a tornado warning down there. I am back home and the sun is shining. Thank Goodness!

Sunday's NASCAR Race

The race Sunday is a road course race in California. I do like NASCAR but the road courses are just boring. I guess that I will watch it but I will not like it ;-)

I have tried the embroidery machine!

I really like my embroidery machine. After I figured out what I was doing wrong, it became easy. It makes beautiful embroidered butterflies! I even tried some fonts and you can make them large or small. Now I have to figure out what I am going to make.

Got an embroidery sewing machine!

I purchased a Brother embroidery sewing machine from WalMart. I had to buy some embroidery thread and actually embroidered a butterfly yesterday. Once I got the hang of it, it was easy. Now I need to find out how I can put it on a small t-shirt without sewing through the back of the t-shirt.

Got the fence estimate

I got the fence estimate today. It is over $5700! This is a chain link fence! I will be looking at different fence installers, most definitely! My poor dogs have to wait longer to run free.

Considering a chain link fence for the yard

I have 2 dogs = Muffin (Polish Lowland Sheep dog) and Valerie (Coonhound) and I was considering getting a chain link fence for my yard. Muffin pretty much stays in the yard but sometimes she wanders especially if you are not watching her. Valerie on the other hand will take off. I got her from a shelter. When I let her out I have to put her on a leash. She just needs to run free. So I had a guy come over tonight for an estimate on a chain link fence. He said that he would get back with me in a few days. I hope it is not too expensive :-)

Looking for an embroidery sewing machine that is right for me

I have been searching Ebay and the net for embroidery sewing machines. I have went to 2 Bernina stores and one Brother store. Some of them are so expensive. Sometimes I am not even sure I want to get one then I think about the things I could make for the grandchildren, and I want one.

Kyle Busch - will he ever grow up?

Did you see Kyle Busch take the guitar trophy he won for the Nationwide race and smash it? What a dork! I bet there are a lot of people who would have loved to have that trophy and would have respected it.

Well, how did you like yesterday's race?

It was pretty good despite it was so long. I was glad to see Tony Stewart win. It's a shame about Jr. Is he ever going to win again?????

I am getting ready to go to the store to check out the Bernina Embroidery Sewing Machine. I have been watching EBAY but the Bernina's are so expensive that it is difficult to buy a machine from EBAY while not seeing it.

I have just started this Blog and would like to say that it will cover whatever is happening in my life. I looking forward to the NASCAR race at the Pocono tomorrow just to see how well JR will do with his new crew chief. Hope it is an improvement.
