This blog is about anything and everything.
Welcome To My Blog
My interests are sewing, quilting, NASCAR, and camping. I am married to a street rodder. We have multiple old cars - 1961 Willys Jeep Station Wagon and some Mopars. My husband's name is Denny and he has been into old cars for a long time. We have 5 children and 11 grandchildren that are just the greatest children ever! They are smart, beautiful, funny all rolled in together! We have 1 dog, Marcy, who is a St. Bernard and 1 cat that just showed up one day named Happy. She showed up during a NASCAR race and we named her after the winner - Happy Harvick.
I do hope you like my blog. It includes a variety of things and I may not be on it everyday, but I try to add things as much as possible.

July 4th weekend
Well, it is July 4th weekend and here I am with nothing special to do. I think I will do some sewing. Maybe make a quilt. I have some sun bonnet squares and may just put them together in a quilt. My sewing machine is a Bernina and I am still getting used to it. So far it is pretty neat! It does all kinds of things and is a big help in sewing anything!
Dale Earnhardt, Jr. wins!
On 7/2 Dale Earnhardt, Jr. won the Nationwide Race at Daytona. He was driving a car that looked like his father's Wrangler car with the #3 on it. What a great ending!! I think he had a co-pilot with him :-)- his Dad. It has been a long time since he has won a race but this was an important one. Tony Eury, Jr. was his crew chief, Richard Childress let him use the #3, and his crew were the #8 team's crew. DEI worked with him, too. Jr. said that this is the last time driving the #3.
It was great to see the end of the race and all the fans standing with 3 fingers in the air. The emotions were at a high - even Tony Eury, Jr. was crying!

Spring is in the air!
The weather has been warmer - in the 60s! Although this weekend is suppose to be rainy, it will still be warm. It just seems that when Spring comes, you have more energy and want to accomplish more. I want to start sewing again. I have lots of material and ideas. It's just staying off of this computer and getting into sewing.

Little bit of snow - lots of wind!
It is snowing and has been snowing but it is not accumulating much. The problem is the winds!! They are howling!! Our house is on a hill and that wind just whips around this house. Hope our siding and shingles stay on!

Another snow storm! And it is deep!
We had a snowstorm last Saturday and we just had another one last night in to today. It is still snowing and the winds are blowing! Saturday's storm was way over 2 feet and this one is suppose to be around 18 inches. What are we going to do with all this snow??? The dogs just love it - especially Jenny. She just jumps across the yard. At least I get to work from home. That is a definite perk! Stay warm & cozy!

January - not sure about this month
The holidays are over with. The weather has been cold and snowy. Not sure about this month. Some good things are birthdays. We celebrated Brian's birthday by taking him out to dinner at a Indian restaurant. It was his choice and the food was great!. I was told to tell them that I didn't want it hot. It had a little kick to it but was good. I had Chicken Marsala. Their bread was really good. It was different but good. Tomorrow morning I go to Meagan's birthday party at the skating rink. Her birthday was in December but the party is tomorrow because of the holidays. Then at 4:30 we will be going to a Chinese restaurant in York. We will be celebrating Breanna's birthday. So this month is busy for birthdays. So I guess January is a good month!

Christmas Presents - almost there!
I think I have most of the presents except for a few money gifts. That feels great! I wrote the cards out yesterday and today. They go in the mail tomorrow. We are not putting up a Christmas tree because the puppy would destroy it. She is curious about everything. Most of the time she has to taste new things in order to figure them out. I do have a wreath on the door.

First snowfall of the season
We had the 1st snowfall of the season today. It was so pretty. The snow stuck to the ground and the trees but not the road. So it was easy to get around. My St. Bernard puppy just loved being in the snow. It was her 1st snowfall ever.
